​I struggled with this question from the moment I was given it. Oh, I’ve read many wonderful HEAs of all kinds over the years, but when it came to picking just one, I struggled. The reason? Every time I remembered a book that left me misty-eyed or cheering at the end, I realized that it wasn’t because of the ending itself but because of the entire book. A light bulb moment struck—the HEA is only ever as good as the journey we took to get there. It’s the previous 350 pages that determine how satisfying the HEA will be, which in turn depends upon how invested we are in the characters, how much their struggles have touched our hearts. How much we really, really, REALLY think they deserve to be happy together forever.
 
So I’ve inverted the question: What is my favorite book journey that made the HEA possible?
